When selecting a quarry machine, customers usually care about production capacity, operating cost, power requirements, machine selection, and long-term stability. Below are some of the most common questions collected by Shuinan Machinery.

1. How Much Stone Can a Double Blade Quarry Machine Cut Per Day? Can the Walking Speed Be Adjusted?

Generally, one double blade quarry machine can cut approximately 180 meters per day, based on 24-hour operation and double-side cutting.

Actual output depends on:

  • Stone hardness
  • Stone characteristics
  • Operator experience
  • Working conditions

If the stone is too hard or too soft, cutting efficiency may become slower. Operator experience also has a significant impact on production.

The walking speed of the machine can be adjusted through a potentiometer according to different cutting conditions.

2. What Is the Consumption of Blade Segments?

Segment consumption is closely related to the hardness of the stone.

  • Marble cutting cost: approximately USD 0.3–0.5 per meter
  • Granite cutting cost: approximately USD 1.2–1.4 per meter

For a 3-meter blade configuration:

  • 2.2m blade: 132 segments
  • 3.0m blade: 160 segments

One complete set:

(132 × 2) + (160 × 2) = 584 segments

Normally one complete set can cut around 600 square meters, averaging approximately one square meter per segment.

3. How Many KW Generator Sets Are Needed for Two Quarry Machines?

For a quarry operating two mining machines together with supporting equipment, a 350KW generator set is generally recommended.

  • Two quarry machines: approximately 235KW
  • Screw air compressor: 55KW
  • Water pump: 10KW
  • Total demand: approximately 300KW

Normally generators should operate within 80% load to avoid overload.

4. What Size of Cable Is Required for the Quarry Machine?

  • Blade below 3.3m (including 3.3m): 3×50 mm² cable
  • Blade from 3.3m–4.8m: 3×75 mm² cable

Cable selection is also related to cable length.

Generally:

  • Aluminum cable → Main power supply
  • Copper cable → Trailing cable behind the machine

5. What Cable Size Is Used for the Generator?

  • 200KW → 3×180 flat cable
  • 250KW → 3×240 flat cable
  • 300KW → 3×240 flat cable
  • 350KW → 3×240 flat cable

Actual cable size also depends on working conditions and distance.

6. What Machine Model Is Suitable for Different Stone Sizes? Will Large Blades Shake?

Available specifications:

  • 1360 / 1900
  • 1400 / 1900
  • 1500 / 2000
  • 1950 / 2450
  • 2600 / 3100

These numbers represent adjustable cutting width.

  • 1360–1500 models → Usually for blades below 3.6m
  • 1950–2600 models → Usually for blades above 3.6m
  • Maximum blade size: 4.8m

Cutting depth formula:

(Blade Diameter − 50 cm) ÷ 2 = Cutting Depth

  • 3.0m blade → approximately 1.25m
  • 3.3m blade → approximately 1.4m

Granite generally uses smaller blades, while marble commonly uses larger blades. To reduce blade vibration, customers usually cut with smaller blades first and then switch to larger blades.
